World Green Building Week 2011

Every year the World Green Building Council holds World Green Building Week, in which its member organizations in over 80 countries are called upon to organize special events promoting public awareness of sustainability, and bringing attention to the importance of sustainable building to the protection of our natural environment.

World Green Building Week 2011 will take place September 19 – 23. As one of the leading sustainable building organizations and a board member of the World Green Building Council, the DGNB will hold the following events in Germany (with admission free of charge):

Tuesday, 20.09.2011 and Wednesday 21.09.2011 – Open House: DGNB Projects in Berlin – Behind the Scenes

During World Green Building Week we are inviting you to experience the advantages of the DGNB Certification System directly on site. We welcome you come and visit three buildings and urban quarters which have been awarded the DGNB Certificate for sustainable building, or which are in the pilot phase of certification. Here you will have the chance to learn not only about the distinctive features of a sustainable building or urban quarter up-close, but also about the details of the certificate and the certification process.
